PIER 1 IMPORTS TO OPEN FIRST STORE IN TEMPE, AZ

FORT WORTH, Texas – Pier 1 Imports (NYSE: PIR) is pleased to announce the opening of its newest store in Tempe, AZ.  The 10,800-square-foot store, located at 1800 E. Rio Salado Parkway in the Tempe Marketplace, opens July 13.*

Store manager Rachelle Van Zandt, who has been with the company for six years, will hire approximately 15 full- and part-time associates. Currently, Pier 1 has more than five locations in surrounding areas.
