Making a List Your Peeps Your Social Network The Gift Closet Wrapping Station Stocking Stuffers

Your PeepsCertain people on your gift list are extra-special – your peeps. Main squeeze, close family, best friend generally fall into this category. You know their interests, likes and dislikes, who’s allergic, who loves pickles, etc. For these folks, you may be willing to spend a bit more to score the perfect gift.

Chances are your peeps fall into two camps: hims and hers. Either way, you want to give something they’ll love getting. So how much to spend? A basic rule of thumb is the 3-“how” rule: How long you’ve known them, how old you/they are and how much you can afford. If you’re a starving artist, still in school or just met on a blind date last Tuesday, obviously your gift can (and should) be on the modest side. On the other hand, if you’re shopping for your spouse of 20 years and/or just got a big juicy raise, something a bit nicer would be appropriate. There are no hard and fast rules – after all, gift giving should come from the heart – but something in the $50 range is a good place to start for many people. Go back and take a look at your list. If necessary, you can always juggle a few dollars up or down.

Christmas Collectibles

Christmas CollectiblesSpecial ornaments often become cherished keepsakes. Why not start a tradition of giving family members their own unique Li Bien ornaments every Christmas? Made exclusively for Pier 1, each ornament is individually hand-painted on the inside by a skilled Chinese artisan and nests in its own elegant gift box.
