Our favorite way to spend these last cold weeks before spring: cursing that groundhog. Our second favorite: planning our garden. And this year, we have a few new ideas. We’re starting seedlings indoors on a stand that’s pretty but lightweight enough to move from window-side to outdoors. (The bottom shelf of a tiered plant stand is best for seeds that need darkness to germinate.) Also, we finally have a solution for that shady spot where nothing grows. We’re thinking colorful stakes, garden accents or lanterns that add interest. From plant labels to outdoor chairs, now is the perfect time to start looking. The selection’s best. And it makes spring seem closer.
