what their cocktail of choice is beforehand, so you can be prepared.

Thompson Lake House Old Fashioned

Some things—like the thrill of victory—are timeless. Cheers!

1. Mix 4 oz. water with 4 tablespoons brown sugar.

2. Add 2 tablespoons of this mixture to whiskey glass.

3. Add square ice cube. Pour whiskey until level is almost over ice cube. Add 3 shakes of bitters. Gently stir.

4. Cut orange peel, twist over glass, then rub peel on glass rim before adding into Old Fashioned.
